Welcome

Welcome to Skookumchuck Farm LLC, where we raise a small fold of registered Scottish Highland cattle on the prairie just south of Tenino, Washington. Like many breeders, we were first attracted to the Highland breed because of their unique looks, and once we learned more about the breed’s characteristics, temperament and beef attributes, we knew they were perfect for us and our small farm. Our animals are a joy we appreciate every day!

Check back regularly for news from the farm, and if you’d like to follow us more closely, check out Amy’s popular blog! Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about owning and raising Scottish Highland cattle.

The Northwest Highland Cattle Association (NWHCA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is selling great 2012 wall calendars as a fundraiser! These full-color calendars feature twelve photos of some association members’ Highland cattle. They’ll make a great Christmas gift for folks who love the breed!
